Warm Ups:

INTRODUCTIONS IN PAIRS

There are many games to help a group start to get to know and to trust one another. This is a good one if your group/ class is still a little reticent to jump into a physically involving activity such as Improv work.
Ask the class to pair up with someone they don't know (or in the case of a class which has been working together, the person they feel they know the least) and spend five minutes sharing who they are with each other. They must share with their partner at least three things they feel make them uniquely who they are other than their name (experiences they have had, places they have gone or lived, preferences, etc.) Then they are to introduce their partner.
If the group is small or you have time, each person may present their partner to the entire group. If you have only a few minutes for this, then tell each pair to find another pair, and each person in the new foursome can introduce their partner to each other person.

This strategy was taken from the book "Teaching Curriculum Through the Arts," available at http://www.creativeeducationalsystems.com/web_files/TeachingCurriculum.html
