Synopsis:
 The arrogant and rich "El Diablo" and his equally arrogant, vain wife Vanagloria take on a humble peasant servant called El Bizarron, thinking they will exploit him. The tables are turned, however, when El Bizarron turns out to be clever as well as strong, and not only thwarts their attempts to exploit him, but teaches them a lesson as well about the virtues of helping others.

Description:
 This 15-20 minute Latin American culture folktale play script features 1 lead female role and 2 leading male roles, with 5 supporting female and 3 supporting male roles and plenty of supporting characters, which can be any number (some with lines) to accommodate the desired size of the cast. For a complete list of cast, including the number of lines for each part, click here. This script is excellent for elementary or middle school play reading for casts from about 3rd grade or older.
