"I had no difficulty downloading the materials and really appreciated that it was straightforward. It was also nice to get the list of characters/lines so that we can quickly assess how best to assign parts.
"I found out about you through searching the internet for the script and your site appeared to be the most straightforward."

Description

Here is a play about believing in yourself that can be read aloud in class or performed with your students, whether it is shared with the class next door or at a school assembly. The play can also be presented as a celebration of any special occasion such as Thanksgiving, Christmas, Easter, Valentine's Day, or a graduation as well. The theme of this play is do your best and to have confidence in yourself. It also emphasizes the importance of making a little difference in the lives of those around you each day. All of this is a message from a powerful king to a little girl who is the baker's daughter. She has been invited to the palace to make her special bread for a festival. The play includes a narrator which can be the teacher or divided among several students. It is suggested that recorded music be added to create just the perfect atmosphere. At the end of the play is a worksheet designed to have students reflect on the theme of the story. Adapted for the stage by Carol J. Macy. 20 pp. Appropriate for grades 3 thru 6.

"Thanks for all of your assistance.
I want to take a moment to say I love your mission statement.
I work with a home school group that began in 1982. I joined with my three kids 14 years ago and now am a key leader of sorts. Our group has a strong theater heritage. The past three years our older kids wrote full length scripts that were then performed by the whole school. This year, most of the teenagers graduated or went to public school and I wanted something easier than writing our own. I was glad to find your sight. I'll let you know what we decide to perform.
And printing it was easy at our local print shop. I downloaded it first onto a memory stick at the library and then took it in for a paper copy.
Thanks again for your help.
