Young students will be proud of their work as actors in this musical play adaptation of the story of the Little Red Hen. Young audiences will too, and in addition to their understanding the process of how bread is made, the message to help others comes across loud and clear.

Synopsis:
When the Little Red Hen decides to bake some bread one day, her friends the barn yard animals refuse to help her despite her requests at each step of the process. But when the bread is finished the animals are all anxious to help eat it. Unfortunately for them, the Little Red Hen points out that they have not been willing to help her with the work of making it, so she alone will eat it.

Description:
This 10 minute script is designed to be performed by a mature narrator (perhaps one or more adults) and a group of early childhood students who are divided up into the various barnyard animals. The cast is expandable and may contain as many actors as are available. There are also lyrics for one song which the ensemble of actors sings. The hard copy version is 8 1/2" x 11" in size with spiral binding (which lets it lie flat on a desk, when opened) and color cover.
