This interactive hands-on workshop will engage participants in learning each
of the nine recognized ways of receiving, assimilating and utilizing
information according to Howard Gardners Theory of Multiple
Intelligences. Teachers of
all grade levels will discover how to assess their own teaching/learning
styles and be given strategies to evaluate and enrich the learning
styles of their students.
They
will design and demonstrate an activity to meet a learning objective
addressing each of the intelligences; and they will be guided in the
design of an interdisciplinary thematic curriculum unit addressing all
nine intelligences: Logical-Mathematical,
Linguistic-Verbal, Visual-Spatial, Musical-Rhythmic, Bodily-Kinesthetic,
Interpersonal, Intrapersonal, Naturalist and Existential
